Our mission is to introduce and grow the sport of team handball in Detroit by building a strong foundation for local players and teams. As an emerging sport in the United States, team handball offers a fresh and exciting opportunity for people to discover something new, active, and team-oriented. We’re focused on creating pathways for participation, skill development, and community engagement, helping this fast-paced sport take root and thrive in our city. As a grassroots nonprofit, we’re laying the groundwork for lasting impact and long-term growth.
We started this club because we saw a chance to bring something new and meaningful to Detroit. Team handball is a fast-moving and highly engaging sport that is still growing in the United States, and we believe it offers a unique way to bring people together through teamwork and energy. What began as a simple love for the game has grown into a volunteer-based effort to build a welcoming and inclusive space where people can connect, play, and grow together.
